Dr. Susan Daniel has been in private practice with her husband, Dr. Christopher Davis, in Carlsbad, California, since 1992. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis in 1987 and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1991.

Dr. Daniel was on the clinical staff at the Southern California College of Optometry in Family Practice and Pediatric Service before opening her practice in Carlsbad. She offers comprehensive examinations for adults and children, contact lenses, laser surgery consultations, treatment of ocular disease, visual efficiency and visual perceptual tests, and more.

Dr. Christopher Davis received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from UCSD and his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1989 from the Southern California College of Optometry.

Dr. Davis offers the highest level of expertise in ocular disease detection and management, and he uses the latest technological advances for contact lens fittings. He is the director of the practice’s optical laboratory and makes sure all lenses are made to exact specifications.

Dr. Davis is bilingual in Spanish and speaks locally to schools and corporations about the latest technology and visual conditions. He is a long-time member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Alexis Coffey has been with Daniel & Davis Optometry since July 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas in 2015 and her Doctor of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in 2019.

Dr. Coffey completed a residency in Traumatic Brain Injury & Rehabilitation and Pediatric Optometry from Pacific University in 2020, where she discovered her passion and love for vision therapy and vision rehabilitation. She was a previous lab instructor for the Southern California College of Optometry where she taught optometry students how to complete vision therapy examinations and assessments. At Daniel & Davis Optometry, Dr. Coffey offers vision therapy assessments along with comprehensive vision examinations for adults and children, contact lens evaluations, treatment of ocular disease, and laser surgery consultations.
